2025 Winter League

We’re excited to announce the details for the upcoming season! 

But first..


A big congratulations to Daniel Smith and Wesley McKnight on their new roles with the RVVA Board! Daniel will be serving as the new RVVA President, and Wesley will take on the role of Vice President. Be sure to give them a huge congratulations when you see them—exciting times ahead for RVVA with their leadership!

Now for the Winter Season details…


Please review the information below carefully to ensure a smooth and organized registration process.

Registration Details-

• Roster Requirements: Teams must register with 4–6 players to secure a spot.  For BB- Please list (B) next to your b level players.  If you only fill out 4 players on your roster, please e-mail roanokevavolleyball@gmail.com with the rest of your roster.  

• Divisions & Team Caps:

•Men’s 4’s A: 8 teams (Monday nights)

• Men’s 4’s B: 8 teams (Wednesday nights) – Maximum 2 A players per team.

• Women’s 4’s A: 8 teams (Wednesday nights)

• Women’s 4’s B: 8 teams (Wednesday nights)

• A, B, & C Leagues:10 teams (A & B Leagues Sunday nights, B League Monday nights, and C League Monday nights)

• BB League: 16 teams (Sunday nights)


Registration Closes: Friday, December 29.


Note:

• No overlapping rosters between league divisions.

Additional Policies:

1. Accurate Rosters: Rosters will serve as both team lists and waivers for playoffs.

2. Substitution Policy: Players must sub for a team 3 times and listed on their roster to be a valid playoff sub.  Remember when finding a sub, if you find someone who is already on a roster in the same division you are playing in, they are not a valid sub come time for playoffs.  

3. BB Rules:

• Teams must include 4 A players and 2 B players.

• Rosters must clearly indicate B players.

4. Doubles Rule: We are maintaining consistent doubles rules across all leagues and into summer play.


Check-In Procedures:

• Teams will check in at the lobby with roster folders and keep scores at the court with the scores binder.  


Open Gym:

• Sunday, December 15, from 6–9 PM.


Other Reminders:

• No gum allowed on courts.

• Only water or Gatorade are permitted on the courts at all times. 

Any food or other drink needs to be kept in lobby area.

Summer 2026 Registration

It's about that time! We know everyone is getting excited to take the game outside, and so are we! You may notice in the coming weeks that the nets are starting to go up at the American Legion fields.

 
 
 
1/26 Games CANCELLED

Games scheduled for Monday 1/26 are cancelled due to current road conditions. A makeup game schedule has not yet been determined. We will communicate updates as they are confirmed. Stay warm!
