roanoke's volleyball community

  • The Roanoke Valley Volleyball Association provides Volleyball to adult players of all skill levels year round. Season's are 10 games long plus single elimination playoffs.

    • Winter Indoor Season: Jan-Apr, Registration in December​​

    • Summer Outdoor Season: Apr-Aug, Registration in March

    • Fall Indoor Season: Sept-Dec, Registration in August

    Our indoor season is played at COUNTRYSIDE SPORTSPLEX.

    Our Summer outdoor season is played at the AMERICAN LEGION.

    • A/BB/B/C Coed Sixes

      • At least two female/Enby players

    • A/B Women's Quads

    • A Men's Sixes

    Outdoor Season​​ (summer)

    • A/BB/B Men's and Women's Doubles

    • A/BB Reverse Coed Doubles

      • Womens Net, Men hit from behind 10 foot line

    • B Coed Doubles

    Skill Levels

    "A" Highly Competitive -

    Players typically have played in college or have loads of experience.

    "B" Competitive - 

    Players are typically athletic and can execute bump set spike most of the time.

    "C" Recreational/New -

    Players are learning the game and can execute bump set spike some of the time.

  • We have a huge Junior Ladies doubles league during the summer. We do no currently have any options for Junior Gents. Minors who are 15 and older are able to play on an adult B or C team with a signed waiver.

  • If you are interested in playing but don't have a team, you can identify yourself as a free agent using the FREE AGENT BOARD. This will be checked periodically by teams looking for players as well as our "team maker" who puts together free agent teams at the beginning of each season. We also have "open gyms" from time to time where you can play pick up and meet people. These will be listed on the upcoming events section of the homepage.
